Icicle Valley’s Chapter of TU has completed and continue to renovate a Kid’s fishing Pond at the Blackbird Island site just off downtown Leavenworth, where kids 15 years and younger can go fishing year around.  We have completed 10 stream restoration projects for a total exceeding 1 million dollars and are currently working on a 3-year $350,000 project on the  Entiat River. We have also successfully completed 90% of the work on an $8,000 Alcoa Foundation grant for the Kid’s Science projects for 1^st to 5^th grades and $4000 for raising salmoniods in the classroom for release in streams. We also gave five $1,000 Conservation Scholarships to area High School graduates.

We are requesting merchandise or discount and cash donation until August 1 for our Conservation Banquet and Auction to be held at the Enzian Inn on August 2. Your donation will help ensure the success of our upcoming Banquet and Auction and TU’s continuing support of our many worthwhile causes in our community.
